Welcome!

Are you seeking change in your life? Or maybe changes are happening, whether you like them or not? So many of us feel stuck as creeping caterpillars when we're meant to fly like butterflies!  My favorite thing about working as a psychologist is the chance to witness and support my clients as they grow through the transformation of becoming their best selves.

I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years, addressing issues ranging from the desire for self-growth and personal exploration to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.  Clients seek my services for a variety of reasons.  I especially love helping people achieve optimum health by improving sleep, increasing time spent in nature, integrating mindfulness meditation principles into daily activities, healing from past traumas, and improving relationships with finances (one of the most oft-cited sources of stress in Western societies).

I understand that it takes courage to enter therapy and share your closest secrets with a stranger. As a practitioner, my goal is to build a trusting relationship with you AND to draw from the latest science so that we can together help you live a better life. I use a goal-directed, strengths-based approach. This typically means that we will be using scientifically-validated questionnaires at each session to track your progress and tailor treatment accordingly. We will always identify what is going well as we simultaneously review areas that you are seeking to change. Though some individuals prefer to engage in long-term psychological care, most of my clients participate in short-term, solution-focused therapy.
